Snow Bowl Steamboat

When night falls in Steamboat Springs, most people leave the outdoor gear behind and search for a place to unwind and relax after a long day on the mountain. In a town with a population of only 12,000 people, finding something to do for everyone in your group can sometime be difficult. Thankfully, Snow Bowl Steamboat always works for everyone since bowling alleys and arcade games never get old. In fact, this bowling alley has been in Steamboat Springs since 1977. However, after new owners purchased the property in 2017, more than forty years later, it is now a state-of-the-art entertainment center.

Bowling & Beers

Inside the massive 10,000-square-foot space, visitors will find 12 regulation AMF lanes perfect for personal or league play. In addition to lanes and pins, Snow Bowl Steamboat offers arcade games, a beer garden and an outdoor patio bar. If you visit on game days, the large screen TVs allow visitors to catch up on the latest MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL scores. Snowball Steamboat also offers a full-service bar and kitchen that serves a variety of bar snacks, sandwiches, salads and specialty items. To drink, the bar has a superb selection of local beers from around the Yampa Valley and Grand County in addition to creative craft cocktails.

Local Menu

The chef-inspired creations from the kitchen are innovative yet familiar items such as lamb meatballs, pastrami sandwiches and grilled flatbreads. The gourmet hot dog section of the menu is outstandingly creative and more than your typical, run-of-the-mill hot dog. Try the Sleeping Giant, which is made with grilled local elk sausage, spicy blueberry mustard and caramelized onion. The Soul Center of the Universe is topped with fried okra, yellow mustard and spicy chow chow (fermented cabbage, onions and peppers). The grilled flatbreads are just as excellent, with options that include ingredients which range from arugula, pecorino, house made trout, local honey, roasted eggplant and an amazing orange-basil pesto, just to name a few. Don’t forget to choose a little something from the curated selection of decadent desserts. The beignets with chocolate sauce and the ice cream cookie sandwich are two that come highly recommended.

More Local

Snow Bowl Steamboat is also a superb place to hold private events, corporate gatherings, birthday parties and much more. It also serves as an excellent place for the community to gather, where everybody feels at home no matter whether you are a longtime local or passing traveler. This familial spot is located at 2090 Steamboat Plaza in the West End of town and it is open seven days a week.
