Ski Steamboat Springs, Colorado

The town of Steamboat Springs boasts some amazing skiing. While calling us a “ski town” overlooks many of the other fun things to do here, we wholeheartedly love our dry fluffy snow, our wonderful slopes, famous tree skiing, and marvelous ski resort.

After all, skiing is one of the greatest thrills you can experience, whooshing down the slopes. As the cool, invigorating mountain air rushes past you, it’s easy to forget everything else. Besides, it’s also good for your heart and legs! If you’re raring to ski, this is the place to be! If you’re convinced, read on below to learn how to ski Steamboat Springs style!

If you are bringing your own equipment, remember that ski gear can be bulky—look into staying in one of our rentals with ski lockers or ski-valet service to make your stay more comfortable. You can also get gear rentals from Christy Sports; they’ll even deliver them to you with their Door2Door Delivery service!

Steamboat Springs Ski Slopes

The most popular place to ski by far is the Steamboat Ski Resort. It features nearly 3,000 acres of ski and snowboard terrain across the slopes of Mount Werner. There are over 150 Steamboat Springs ski trails and 23 lifts. The resort does have room for beginners, making it great for those first starting. However, it draws in serious skiers more, as the plurality of its slopes (44%) are designated as advanced slopes, and our tree skiing is world famous! With so many options, it’s easy to spend several days skiing here without tiring of the mountain.

After Skiing

Skiing can really work up an appetite—for both food and warmth! Enjoy the many dining options that Steamboat has to offer both on the mountain and downtown. Great options conveniently located on the mountain include the renowned Café Diva, The Paramount (for breakfast and lunch), Slopeside Grill for a more casual après ski vibe, and Los Locos for tacos. All of our condos come with a winter shuttle service that’ll take you downtown or around the mountain area without having to worry about driving through the snow. Many of our properties feature outdoor hot tubs as well—perfect for warming your bones back up or soothing sore muscles.
