As you begin to plan for your once in a lifetime visit to Steamboat Springs, you may be wondering exactly how to spend your week in paradise. Sometimes the most difficult part of any trip is making sure you hit all the hot spots you’ve dreamed of visiting. The Resort Lodging Company gets your pain, and to help out a bit, we’ve created this sample one week Steamboat Springs itinerary. Follow it to the letter or get creative and just partake in a couple of activities; all that’s important is you enjoy your visit!

Day 1

The first day of any vacation usually involves travel, settling in, and getting your bearings. Stopping by the Wild Plum when you first roll into town allows you to pick up a few supplies for your stay. Pick up some pastries for a quick breakfast, a few bottles of wine for sunset viewing sessions, and order a pizza while you’re there for tonight’s dinner; this night is just for peace, quiet, and relaxation.

Day 2

After a long and restful night’s sleep in our cloud soft beds, you’ll wake up with the thought of a hearty breakfast going through your mind. That’s why day two of your one week Steamboat Springs itinerary consists of going to Freshie’s Restaurant. Hunger pains sated, now it’s time to begin your exploration of Steamboat Springs, and the best way to see it all is with a helicopter tour offered by Zephyr Helicopter Company. Once your feet are firmly planted on the ground again, you can get a closer view of the town with a simple walk through our downtown, shopping and enjoying a romantic dinner at Laundry, where small plates reign supreme.

Day 3

Sleep late and start the day with the pastries you purchased on your first day in town and spend this day learning the history of our favorite mountain village. The Tread of Pioneers Museum offers an intriguing glance into our past and will keep you occupied until the hunger pains have you searching for lunch at the Back Door Grill. Your afternoon will be set aside for more shopping; be sure to make time for a visit to the Jewelry & Fossil Shop of Steamboat.

Day 4

Because you can expect a wildly different vacation experience depending on the season you visit, day four’s activities will assume you are on a winter vacation; this day is all about the slopes. Day four of your one week Steamboat Springs itinerary is for you to spend your day hitting the slopes of the Steamboat Resort, either on snowboard or skis. Lunch and dinner can be purchased at the resort, but if you’re looking for a special ending to the day, a romantic dinner at E3 Chophouse will hit the spot.

Day 5

During your summer vacation, you may choose to spend your fifth day in paradise hiking to Fish Falls for a photo opp, swimming in Old Town Hot Springs, or golfing at Rolling Stone Ranch Golf Course. For meals, this day you may want to enjoy all three meals in the same location—we suggest Johnny B. Good’s Diner. Be sure to try their milkshakes!

Day 6

Today is your final full day in Steamboat Springs, and you may want to spend it at home. Our Resort Lodging Company cozy condos are designed to be enjoyed to the fullest. Watch your favorite rom-com in front of a roaring fire, enjoy that wine you picked up at the Wild Plum while watching the sun set in an explosion of color from the back porch, or simply explore the beauty that surrounds your vacation escape with a quiet walk at anytime throughout the day. Reserve your stay today!
