Fresh pizza at Mazzola's Italian DinerYou are in Steamboat Springs for the first time and you want a fabulous restaurant at which to spend your first night in town. The meal should be rich and decadent, and the drinks should be potent and made with fancy booze. There must be dessert, and it must be as fattening as it is fun. If this is what you want, why not head over to Mazzola’s Italian Diner? Mazzola’s serves some satisfying Italian food and its ambiance makes it the perfect place for a celebration.

Mazzola’s Steamboat is located right in the heart of town on Lincoln Ave. It is only opened for happy hour and dinner. The iconic pizza and pasta joint has been in operation ever since 1970. There are so many delicious things on the menu that it would be impossible to name them all, but there are a few items that should not be missed.

Every appetizer at Mazzola’s contains either cheese or garlic butter. The mozzarella sticks come with a basil and Romano marinara. The cheese garlic flatbread comes with the house marinara as well.

Salads and Soups

The Mazzola’s Steamboat restaurant has a robust minestrone soup which goes well with a side of flatbread. They have a good traditional Caesar salad that contains a healthy amount of cheese and some really yummy croutons. They also offer a burrata salad that comes with heirloom tomatoes and cracked salt.

Entrees at Mazzola’s Steamboat

Dinner offers several well thought out options, including a roasted salmon with zucchini noodles and a drawn butter sauce. Pastas include a rich and flavorful butternut ravioli with lemon butter and marinara. The pasta primavera is served in a butter sauce and contains wild mushrooms, in addition to all the usual vegetables in this classic dish.

The pizza has a delectable crust that is made with garlic infused olive oil. It has a tangy and robust sauce, and the restaurant offers such unusual toppings as fennel and gorgonzola cheese.

There is a full wine list at Mazzola’s Italian Diner, and the helpful staff can help you select the perfect wine to go with your dinner.
